I had been looking for some good video's of the UDPS's leader maximo's return on December 9th, 2010 - I finally found some yesterday. Whatever one may think of Tshisekedi, and bearing in mind that these roads are often full of people, this is very impressive.
wow indeed. i need to brush up on my Lingala :)
ReplyDeleteThis was fantastic, Jason!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing it.

Avec le retour de papa Tshitshi, les carottes sont cuites pour le rebelle de l'AFDL Joseph Kabila. On november 2011, we're sending Kabila back to the hell the right place for him.
ReplyDeleteYep, you know I agree (see my previous comment on your Dec 8th Tshisekedi posting). Mr. Tshi, sporting a very smart boubou, just met with Cardinal Monsengwo. I sure would have liked to have been a fly on the wall at that discussion.
ReplyDeleteHave you got the inside scoop on why Diomi Ndongala was arrested and tried all in 3 days? Will he really spend the next 5 months in prison in Bas Congo? Gives new meaning to "speedy trial" http://dc-kin.net/info/2011/01/
Hi Lorraine -
ReplyDeleteYes, I had heard to Diomi had been arrested. The ANR and police are very nervous in Bas-Congo, I guess, given the fierce opposition and BDK support there. I don't know why they targeted Diomi - he has hardly been noticeable in the political scene recently, and in the 2006 election he had a pretty modest showing. Maybe a message to others?
Kanambe and his culprit MPs must be looking for where to hide. Students across the country will decend on every street, from Kivu, Kisangani, Lubumbashi,Kinshasa, Kananga, Mbuji-Mayi, Bandaka, Bandundu on the election day if they try to cheat and steal. If their savage soldiers open fire on public, they will be held accountable for any blood that will drop, under the leadership of Etienne Tshisekedi and Barack Obama.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Jason for sharing this! Should I confess it? My eyes were watery while listening to my fellow citizens in these two videos.
ReplyDeleteMore than ever I know the last word in the Congo imbroglio will be from the Congolese people. Of course, the road to a democratic leadership is still a long and winding one, but we will, eventually, get there. I’m spreading these videos around, so that everyone knows. Let’s make the next election a free and transparent one!!!
I trust the Congolese people!
Thanks again.

DEAR SIRS, YOU HAVE NOT THE GOOD INFORMATION ON DIOMI NDONGALA, HIS ROLE IN OPPOSITION AND ESPECIALLY IN THE WEST OF CONGO.
ReplyDeleteYOU CAN FIND THE GOOD INFORMATION HERE

The recent arrest of Mr Ndongala should also reflect the Congolese particularly on the determination of the Rwandan dictator Kanambe, to use regular methods of action that have nothing to envy to those used by the
ReplyDeleteKGB.The staging, which has just allowed its services "security" to dispatch that leader of the opposition in the province of Bas-Congo in prison automatically disqualifies Mr.DIOMI Ndongala the next election at which he planned to participate.
Because from this judicial act, it can no longer benefit from the criminal records necessary for any future candidate for election to be eligible. The acts against congolese people have increased in DRC...
